Friday 24th November 2017 marked the start of a new chapter in the life of Ballymena Baptist Church when Steven Curry was inducted as its new Pastor. John Gault, the President of the Association welcomed a large congregation which included contingents from Bethany Baptist Church in Bangor and Ballymoney Baptist, plus friends and ministry colleagues of Steven and his wife, Gail.
The Induction Service was very much a family occasion involving three of Steven and Gail’s sons. Andrew, the Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist in Lisburn performed the Act of Induction, Simon the Pastor of the Larne Church read from Scripture and prayed while Matthew also prayed and pronounced the Benediction.
Following the Act of Induction Ken Poston extended the right hand of fellowship to Steven and to Gail, who is known to many throughout our churches as the Director of Baptist Women. Steven thanked the Ballymena Church for the confidence placed in him and asked that it be prayerful for him, patient with him and prepared to search the Scriptures.
