(MAF : Tanzania)

In June 2006 Thomas qualified as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.  Thomas’ first assignment began in September 2006 with Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Tanzania.  He supervised training at the MAF base in Dodoma while serving as an aircraft engineer.  Thomas also had the opportunity to get involved in an African church to learn Swahili.

During 2007, Thomas met Patricia from Auckland, New Zealand, and they were married in April 2008.

Patricia is a primary school teacher who studied at the Bible College of New Zealand.  She was sent out by Church Mission Society to work in a local primary school in the Diocese of Central Tanganyika.  In 2010 Patricia become part of the MAF organisation.

In June 2011, Thomas and Patricia had a little girl called Grace.  Thomas continued his engineering role while Patricia is a full-time mother.

Please Pray For:

  • Thomas as he works as an engineer and oversees the repairs and maintenance of MAF planes.
  • Interaction with Africans, missionaries and visitors – sharing the love of Jesus and entertaining visitors in their home.
  • The experience if God’s peace in their lives in the midst of the busy comings and goings in Dodoma.
  • Thomas, Patricia and Grace; as a family may they know God’s protection and blessing as they nuture Grace, watching her grow and develop.
