On Thursday 11th April we celebrated our 20th Birthday! It was 20 years ago that we first met, when a gap was identified in
the church programme by the late Mrs June McAllister. Thursday Fellowship was started to provide a monthly meeting for more “senior” folk to come along together for a programme followed by lunch. The concept was for folk from church as well as the local community to come together. Speakers have come from a wide cross-section of interests, such as Lighthouses of Ireland, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Healthy Eating ideas, Occupational Therapy on independent living, stories behind old hymns etc – something for everyone! There was a big birthday cake which was cut by one of the founder leaders, who is still organising the programme, Joan Harris, after the candles had been blown out by Philip McAllister!
Feel free to join us the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10.45am when you will be made very welcome!. Transport is available – just ring and leave a message.
